1. Pakistan’s overtures toward newly independent Central Asia Republics are based on long-term as well as short-term considerations. Discuss them.

2. Pakistan’s nuclear capability and programme is defended by saying that what is good for gander is also good for goose? Give arguments and facts in support of this defence.

3. The prospective World Order is seen as stable and balanced distribution of military economic and technological power that fits into U.S. perspective.

4. Perpetuating inadequacies in our educational system have a lot to do with Pakistan law and order-oriented political culture, paralysis of institutional arrangements, lack of consensus on nature and direction of political system, and of course, an acute apathy. Analyse these factors, Objectively and dispassionately.

5. Draw similarities and dissimilarities between Bosnia Herzegovina and other Muslim issues like Kashmir, Palestine and Cyprus.

6. What implications would a destabilized and disorderly Afghanistan have for Pakistan?

7. Nationalist movement in Indian-occupied Kashmir has moral, political, legal and economic justifications. Discuss them.

8. Besides Presidential Ordinance on pollution and the Rio’s Earth Summit, what effective legislative measures and practical institutional devices may be adopted to save human, animal and plant life from lethal pollutants discharged at high level from several sources in Pakistan.
